# Privacy Policy for Keptures **Last updated: July 6, 2026** This Privacy Policy describes how Keptures ("the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use it. ## Summary Keptures does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Almost everything you do in the app stays on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, syncs privately through your own personal iCloud account. We (the developer) do not have access to your tasks, photos, credits, or companion data. ## Information Stored by the App Keptures stores the following information locally on your device, and syncs it via Apple's CloudKit service to your personal iCloud account (if you're signed into iCloud on your device): - Tasks, lists, and due dates you create - Photos you take or choose as proof of completing a task - Your in-app credit balance and transaction history - Your companion creature's appearance and unlocked cosmetics - App preferences (theme, which tabs are shown, etc.) This data is stored in your own private iCloud database. Apple's CloudKit service is used purely as your personal sync/storage layer between your own devices — the developer of Keptures has no access to this data, cannot view it, and does not receive a copy of it. ## Camera and Photo Library Access Keptures asks for permission to use your device's camera and photo library so you can attach a photo as proof of completing a task. Photos you capture or choose are stored with the relevant task (locally and in your own iCloud account, as described above) and are never transmitted to us or to any third party. ## Feedback Emails If you choose to use the "Send Feedback" option in Settings, the app opens your device's own Mail app with a pre-filled draft addressed to the developer. Nothing is sent unless you actively choose to send that email yourself. If you do send it, we receive whatever is included in that email — typically your message, your email address, and basic app/device version information included for troubleshooting purposes. We use this solely to read and respond to your feedback, and we don't add you to any mailing list or share it with anyone else. ## Data We Do Not Collect Keptures does not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers. We do not collect your location, contacts, device identifiers for advertising purposes, or any browsing data. There is no user account or login, and no data is used to track you across other apps or websites. ## Children's Privacy Keptures does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, since no data is transmitted to us in the normal course of using the app. If you believe a child has contacted us directly through the feedback feature, please contact us using the information below so we can delete that message. ## Your Data, Your Control You can delete all of your Keptures data at any time using the "Delete Everything" option in Settings, which permanently erases your tasks, lists, credits, and companion progress and lets you start fresh. Because your data is stored in your own iCloud account rather than on a Keptures server, uninstalling the app and removing its data from iCloud (via your device's iCloud settings) removes it completely. ## Changes to This Policy If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
