Penguzzle is made by one person. Email kurtc14@gmail.com and you will get a reply from the person who wrote the code.
Each row is an ice floe balanced on a rock. A penguin sitting further from the rock tips the floe harder, so where you put one matters as much as which one it is.
Every floe needs one chick (weight 1), one Pip (2) and one emperor (3), placed so the floe balances. The numbers under the board say how much weight each column needs. The square over the rock is an igloo, and across the whole board each kind of penguin gets the same number of igloos.
Tap a square to cycle through the penguins. Press and hold to cross a square off when you have worked out that nobody goes there.
If you are signed in to iCloud on the new device with the same Apple Account, your progress should arrive on its own — open the game and give it a moment. If it does not, check that iCloud Drive is on in iOS Settings.
Open the shop and tap Restore purchase. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so the same purchase works on every device you sign in to, at no extra cost.
No. Every board in the game is machine-checked to have exactly one answer before it ships, and the hints reason forward from what is on the board rather than giving pieces away. If a puzzle feels impossible, it is solvable — but if you think you have found one that is not, please email it to me with the level or date and I will look at it.
Check Settings → Notifications → Penguzzle on your phone, then the reminder switch in the game's own settings. The reminder is scheduled locally and will not fire on a day you have already solved.
Not yet. Penguzzle is an iPhone app at launch. It runs on an iPad in iPhone compatibility mode, and a proper iPad version may come later.
Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. If you use iCloud, turn Penguzzle off under Settings → [your name] → iCloud before deleting, or your progress will come back when you reinstall.
